Tasmanian Government Organisations
You have the right to be legally represented at the hearing. If you cannot afford a solicitor you should contact the Legal Aid Commission of Tasmania. They can assist you with legal representation and their lawyers can act for you if you are granted legal aid.
Mental Health and Assistance Organisations
A representative from the Mental Health Representation Scheme will make contact with you in relation to your upcoming hearing to see whether you would like their assistance.
Advocacy Tasmania can provide you with information about:
- what will happen at the hearing;
- provide advice about how to best present yourself at the hearing; and
- can arrange for a representative to attend the hearing to support you to speak for yourself, or speak for you.
